Varicose veins are enlarged surface veins that can develop when valves stop closing effectively and allow blood to move backward. Chronic venous insufficiency can also contribute to swelling, aching, heaviness, cramping, itching, burning, skin discoloration, or other recurring symptoms.
Recent U.S. Census American Community Survey estimates place Ferris at approximately 2,932 residents, including about 1,894 adults.
